Decomposed Human Body Found in Eldar Dayan Missing Person Case in Central Israel
In the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Eldar Dayan, authorities have discovered a decomposed human body during extensive searches. The investigation was recently transferred from the Dimona police station in the southern district to the Central District's YAMAR unit to consolidate efforts under one command. This decision followed a situation assessment led by Central District Commander Amir Cohen and the conclusion that Dimona police had exhausted all search avenues.
The search operation, conducted this morning with the involvement of the Central District unit, Petah Tikva police, Border Police fighters, and volunteers, led to the discovery of the body. The remains will be sent to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine for identification and to determine the cause of death. The investigation into the case continues.
