Decomposed Body Found in Sharon During Search for Eldar Dayan, Identity Unknown

A decomposed human body was discovered on Thursday morning near the Yarkon interchange in the Sharon region amid ongoing searches related to the disappearance of Eldar Dayan. The investigation into Dayan's disappearance was recently transferred from the Dimona police station to the Central Unit (YAMAR) Sharon in the Central District to consolidate operational and investigative efforts under one authority. At this stage, police have not linked the found body to Dayan's case, and the identity of the deceased remains unknown. The body will be sent to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine for identification and to determine the cause of death. The search efforts involved YAMAR investigators, Petah Tikva police officers, Border Police fighters, and volunteers. The investigation continues while authorities await forensic results.
