Israeli Police Shift Strategy, Sharon Unit Takes Over Eldar Dayan Investigation

The Israeli police have changed their approach in the investigation of Eldar Dayan's disappearance. After the Dimona police station announced it had exhausted all leads and search directions under its jurisdiction, the case has now been transferred to the Sharon District Unit (Yam'ar Sharon). This unit will handle both the ongoing search efforts for Dayan and the investigation into the fight that preceded his disappearance.

Police emphasized that the Dimona station in the Southern District had completed its assigned tasks, prompting the consolidation of all investigative and search activities under a single unit to streamline efforts. Recently, a close associate of Dayan posted a claim suggesting that Dayan might have contacted his father, Alon Hachmon, from his hiding place. However, police have stated they have no information supporting this claim.

The last known footage of Eldar Dayan shows him in good health at a convenience store with two companions, captured by security cameras. The police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and the preceding altercation, now under the Sharon unit's leadership.
