Fiorentina Renew Interest in Maccabi Tel Aviv Defender Roy Revivo

Roy Revivo, the Maccabi Tel Aviv defender, will not travel with the team for their upcoming match against CSKA Sofia on Thursday. Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari reported that Fiorentina has renewed its interest in Revivo, who was also a transfer candidate for the club in June. Earlier in the summer, Fiorentina showed interest but negotiations did not result in a signing.

Revivo's family is concerned that, similar to last summer's failed transfer to FC Copenhagen, this move to Europe might also fall through. One key issue is the player's refusal to accept the 15 percent commission promised to him from the transfer fee. Additionally, there is a financial gap of approximately half a million euros between Maccabi Tel Aviv and the interested Spanish club. Maccabi Tel Aviv has set a transfer price of 4 million euros for Revivo.

Fiorentina, where former Maccabi player Manor Solomon finished last season, managed to stay in Italy's Serie A, finishing 15th. The ongoing transfer saga highlights the challenges in completing Revivo's move abroad despite renewed interest from European clubs.
