Maccabi Tel Aviv Defender Roy Revivo in Advanced Talks to Leave Club

Roy Revivo, a defender for Maccabi Tel Aviv and the Israeli national team, is reportedly in advanced negotiations to leave the club. Sources close to him indicate that he may not travel with the team to Batumi for their upcoming Europa League qualifier against CSKA Sofia, with Shahar Rozen expected to start in his place if he remains in Israel. Revivo had sought a transfer last summer, but Maccabi rejected a bid under three million euros from Danish club Copenhagen, demanding four million euros instead. His representatives consider this price high for a player from the Israeli league who does not yet hold a European passport. Revivo is currently awaiting Portuguese citizenship, a process that has been delayed.

Even if Maccabi insists he participate in the matches against CSKA Sofia, it is expected that his move abroad will happen shortly afterward. His agent, top agent Fali Ramadani, who previously tried to interest Fiorentina in Revivo, is handling the negotiations. Several clubs from Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands, including Ajax, have been monitoring his progress. Revivo's father, Haim Revivo, has stated that a move to Major League Soccer is not a priority despite interest from Inter Miami and other MLS teams. The primary goal remains securing a transfer to one of Europe's top five leagues, with Spain's La Liga being a leading option. Negotiations are reportedly ongoing with at least one La Liga club, while other Spanish teams continue to follow him closely.
