Maccabi Tel Aviv to Travel Without Roy Revivo and Shagiv Yehezkel for Europa League Match in Batumi
Maccabi Tel Aviv held their final training session on Wednesday morning ahead of their afternoon flight to Batumi, where they will face CSKA Sofia tomorrow at 19:00 in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. The team will be without left-back Roy Revivo, who is not traveling due to advanced negotiations for his transfer to a Spanish league club. Additionally, forward Shagiv Yehezkel will also miss the trip because of a muscle sensitivity in his leg, with the club deciding not to take any risks and leaving him in Israel.
Yehezkel's absence is particularly significant as he was considered a candidate to replace Revivo in the left-back position, a role he has filled in the past. Consequently, the coaching staff will need to find an alternative solution for that position ahead of the important match against the Bulgarian side. The club continues to work on finalizing Revivo's transfer, which they hope to complete soon, but for now, Maccabi Tel Aviv must manage without him in the upcoming game.
