Maccabi Tel Aviv's Roy Revivo Struggles with Transfer Pressure Ahead of European Matches

Roy Revivo played both legs for Maccabi Tel Aviv against Sheriff Tiraspol in the second qualifying round of the Europa League while aware he was set to be transferred immediately afterward. Negotiations between Maccabi Tel Aviv and a Spanish club interested in Revivo have been ongoing for over two weeks. Despite understanding the difficulties, Revivo, his agent Fadi Ramadani, and Maccabi expected the deal to close after the Sheriff matches. When the transfer did not materialize, Revivo began feeling overwhelmed by the pressure, fearing a repeat of last year's failed move to FC Copenhagen. He informed coach Kenny Miller that the stress was affecting his ability to perform in the upcoming games against CSKA Sofia.

Revivo is expected to earn around 600,000 euros net per season in Spain, nearly four times his current salary at Maccabi Tel Aviv. The main obstacles to finalizing the deal involve disagreements over the percentage of his transfer rights, which Revivo refuses to relinquish, and future resale percentages, which Maccabi is unwilling to concede. A source close to the negotiations indicated that the gap in the base transfer fee has narrowed recently, but these contractual issues remain unresolved. Revivo hopes Maccabi will successfully complete the transfer this time, allowing him to continue his career in Spain.
