Reports in Italy link Maccabi Tel Aviv defender Roy Revivo with Fiorentina
Italian media reported that Maccabi Tel Aviv left back Roy Revivo could be on Fiorentina’s radar this summer, although he is not among the Viola’s top targets. The report, published by Corriere dello Sport, said Revivo is one of several options being considered as the club prepares for possible defensive turnover.
According to the article, Fiorentina expects to sell at least three defenders in the summer, Dodo, Pietro Comuzzo and Michael Kayode, and wants replacements ready in advance. The club’s sporting director, Fabio Paratici, is said to favor Destiny Udogie, whom he also wanted at Tottenham, but the main obstacle is his price tag, around 50 million euros. A loan move was also mentioned as a possibility, with Udogie earning 2.5 million euros plus bonuses and under contract until 2030. The report noted that Udogie missed 18 matches this season because of a thigh injury.
The piece added that Fiorentina is also ahead of Revivo on a list of alternatives that includes Vitor Reis of Gremio and Adam Obert of Cagliari. Fiorentina reportedly offered 12 million euros for Vitor Reis, but Brazilian demands are closer to 20 million. Obert is described as a cheaper fallback at about 8 million to 10 million euros.
Revivo was described as a later option because his contract expires in one year, which puts his transfer value at no more than 6 million to 7 million euros. The report suggests Fiorentina is building its shortlist now so it can move quickly if it needs to replace departing defenders.
