Police Find Helmets Linked to Missing Eldar Dayan in Yarkon Stream Search

Israeli police investigating the disappearance of Eldar Dayan have discovered two helmets matching those worn by Dayan and his friends before he went missing. The helmets were found at the last known location where Dayan was seen, in the Yarkon Stream area near Petah Tikva. The search involved advanced technological tools and drone assistance. The helmets have been sent to a forensic laboratory for analysis in hopes of uncovering new leads.

The investigation centers on suspicions that Dayan and his group were involved in a physical altercation shortly before his disappearance. Police believe the group hit one of the participants with a vehicle and fled the scene, which may have prompted Dayan to run away. Authorities do not rule out the possibility that Dayan himself was harmed during the incident and subsequently disappeared.

Recent police interrogations revealed that Dayan’s closest friends, who were with him until the last moments, allegedly threatened to kill him. Investigators suspect these friends know Dayan’s whereabouts and may have attempted to reach his hiding place. Dayan’s family, including his mother, has joined the search efforts and expressed concern for his safety. His family’s lawyer, Sapir Perdo, emphasized that Dayan is not a suspect and that the family does not know if he is alive.

Last week, footage emerged showing Dayan at a gas station with two of the suspects shortly after they abandoned their vehicle and fled. In the video, Dayan is shirtless, holding two shirts, and puts one on while handing the other to a friend. A shirt possibly belonging to Dayan was also found near the vehicle’s location in Petah Tikva. The suspects’ lawyers deny the accusations against their clients.
