Police Find Helmets Linked to Missing Eldar Dayan During Yarkon Stream Search

Israeli police investigating the disappearance of Eldar Dayan have discovered two helmets matching those worn by Dayan and his friends before he vanished. The helmets were found near the last location where Dayan was seen, in the Yarkon Stream area near Petah Tikva. The search operation involved advanced technological tools and drone assistance. The helmets have been sent to a forensic laboratory for examination in hopes of uncovering new leads.

The investigation centers on suspicions that Dayan and his group were involved in a violent altercation shortly before his disappearance, during which one individual was hit by a car and the group fled the scene. Authorities believe this incident may have prompted Dayan to flee, though they have not ruled out that he was harmed during the event and subsequently disappeared.

Recent police interrogations revealed that Dayan’s close friends, who were with him until his disappearance, allegedly threatened to kill him and may know his whereabouts. The suspects’ lawyers deny these allegations. Dayan’s family, including his mother, has joined the search efforts and expressed concern for his safety, emphasizing that he is not wanted for questioning. Lawyer Sapir Perdo, representing Dayan’s family, stated that the family does not know if he is alive and highlighted the threats made against him by the main suspect.

Last week, footage surfaced showing Dayan at a gas station with two of the suspects shortly after they abandoned their vehicle and fled. In the video, Dayan is seen shirtless, holding two shirts, putting one on and handing the other to a friend. Additionally, a shirt possibly belonging to Dayan was found near the vehicle location in Petah Tikva. The investigation continues as police seek to clarify the circumstances surrounding Dayan’s disappearance.
