IDF Kills Gaza Terror Commander Who Held Israeli Hostage Rom Breslavski
Over the weekend, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted an operation in the Deir al-Balah area of Gaza, killing Mahmoud Fatair, the commander of the Nukhba unit in the Central Camps Brigade of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). Fatair infiltrated into Israel on October 7 and held Israeli civilian Rom Breslavski captive. During the sixth phase of Operation "Sky Gates," the terrorist was filmed in PIJ uniform participating in a ceremony handing over multiple hostages, including Amit Shani, Ofir Engel, Moran Stella Yanai, Itai Regev, Liam Or Nasser, and Raz Ben Ami. According to the IDF, Fatair was actively planning terrorist attacks against Israeli military forces and civilians, and his elimination was aimed at neutralizing this threat.
