IDF Kills Palestinian Islamic Jihad Terrorist Involved in Israeli Hostage Release

The Israel Defense Forces announced on Monday that during the past weekend, they killed Amro Abu Alrish, a Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist from the Nukhba unit in southern Gaza. Abu Alrish had participated in the release of an Israeli civilian from PIJ captivity and was actively involved in combat against IDF forces throughout the war. He played a key role in executing terror attacks against Israeli troops and recently worked to develop new terror tactics, train Nukhba militants, and rebuild PIJ's operational capabilities.

In a separate airstrike in northern Gaza over the weekend, the IDF also killed Abd Alnasser Alaziz Makadma, a Hamas police commander and deputy head of a military unit. Makadma had recently promoted terror attacks targeting Israeli forces and civilians. Both terrorists were deemed significant threats to Israeli troops operating in the area and were eliminated in precise aerial strikes.

The IDF emphasized that these operations are part of ongoing efforts to neutralize terror threats in the West Bank and Gaza amid the current conflict.
