Rom Braslavski Reacts to Killing of Terrorist Who Held Him Hostage in Gaza

Rom Braslavski, an Israeli hostage survivor, responded in an Arabic video to the killing of Mahmoud Fatair, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist who held him captive in Gaza. Braslavski condemned the militants, saying, "You were criminals and I was weak, but now you are dying one by one. Not one of you will remain, eye for an eye." He thanked the Israeli forces and the public, emphasizing that "the people of Israel live on."

Mahmoud Fatair, a commander in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's Nukhba unit, was killed in a targeted strike near Deir al-Balah as part of Israel's "Sky Gates" operation. Fatair was involved in the October 7 massacre and played an active role in Braslavski's captivity. He was also seen participating in a ceremony handing over multiple hostages, including Israeli and foreign nationals.

Israeli forces continue to operate in the southern region to neutralize ongoing threats. Braslavski's statement underscores the ongoing conflict and Israel's commitment to eliminating those responsible for terror attacks against its citizens.
