Netanyahu Plans to Present Dramatic Intelligence on Iran's Nuclear Expansion to Trump in Washington

Ahead of his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to present intelligence indicating that Iran is expanding its nuclear activities at the secret underground site known as "Mount Kook". According to reports from a Jerusalem source cited by the New York Post, Israel will also share information about Iran's efforts to restore its missile and drone capabilities damaged in previous strikes.

The intelligence reportedly includes evidence that centrifuges have recently been transferred to the clandestine Mount Kook facility, which is located more than 90 meters underground near the Natanz nuclear site. This marks the first confirmed deployment of centrifuges there since construction began in 2020. Until now, suspicions about nuclear activity at the site lacked clear proof, which contributed to it being spared in earlier U.S. and Israeli attacks.

Despite these reports, President Trump recently downplayed the significance of the Mount Kook site, stating that Washington has no information confirming nuclear activity there. However, he has signaled a willingness to consider striking the facility. Concurrently, U.S. forces are reportedly preparing for a possible ground operation to seize hundreds of kilograms of enriched uranium believed to be stored in Iran.

The intelligence Netanyahu plans to present underscores assessments that Tehran remains committed to its nuclear ambitions and military strengthening, even amid ongoing negotiations with the United States regarding a ceasefire.
