Man From Jezreel Valley Charged With Car Bomb Murder in Afula Residential Area
A 38-year-old man from the Jezreel Valley is set to be charged with the murder of Obnek Dinko, who was killed by a car bomb explosion in a residential neighborhood in Afula on May 26. The incident occurred in the morning, and police quickly identified and apprehended the suspect within hours of opening the investigation. Authorities found the suspect in possession of a stolen vehicle fitted with legitimate license plates taken from an identical car. Investigation revealed that the suspect had prepared for the attack over approximately eight hours, starting from when he left the Tivon area with the vehicle and carried out multiple preparatory actions at the scene and access routes. Following the completion of the investigation phase, the Northern District Prosecutor's Office will formally file charges against the suspect.
