Maccabi Haifa Signs Novakovic, Plans Major Foreign Player Changes Ahead of New Season

Maccabi Haifa is reshaping its squad for the upcoming season by signing American forward Andrej Novakovic, marking the club's tenth foreign player in the current roster. This addition necessitates adjustments, particularly among the foreign players, as the club must reduce its foreign contingent.

Novakovic's arrival means that Tribente Stewart, also a forward, has been informed he is no longer in the club's plans and is expected to leave. The club is actively seeking a new team for him but has yet to make progress. Additionally, three other foreign players, Show, who returned from a loan spell at Turkish club Kocelispor; Matias Nahuel, back from Jagiellonia Bialystok; and Peter Agba, who had intermittent appearances last season, have also been told they are not part of the future squad.

Defensively, Maccabi Haifa intends to sign at least one foreign center-back. This move could lead to the departure of Brazilian defender Pedrão, who struggled with injuries throughout last season and has played only 18 matches over two seasons. The club is undergoing significant changes as it prepares for the new campaign in the Israeli Premier League.
