Maccabi Haifa Reshapes Foreign Player Roster After Signing Andrija Novakovich

Maccabi Haifa is actively restructuring its foreign player lineup ahead of the new season following the unexpected signing of American forward Andrija Novakovich. Novakovich becomes the tenth foreign player on the current squad, prompting the club to make significant changes to comply with roster limits.

As Novakovich plays as a striker, Tribente Stewart has been informed he is no longer in the club's plans and is expected to leave, though no new club has been secured for him yet. Additionally, three other foreign players, Show, who returned from a loan at Turkish club Kocaelispor; Matias Nahuel, back from Jagiellonia Bialystok; and Peter Agaba, who had sporadic appearances last season, have also been told they are not part of the future squad.

Defensive adjustments are also underway, with Maccabi Haifa planning to sign at least one foreign center-back. This move puts Brazilian defender Pedrão, who struggled with injuries last season and played only 18 games over two years, at risk of departure. The club is thus preparing for a significant overhaul in its foreign contingent as it builds toward the upcoming campaign.
