The engineering officer who was seriously wounded in the severe security incident today (Thursday) in Jenin by an explosive device was also seriously injured in the past during military activity, underwent rehabilitation, and returned to fighting on the front.
In January 2024, an anti-tank missile hit the D9 bulldozer he was operating during fighting in the Gaza Strip, and after a long and extensive rehabilitation, he returned to serve in a combat role in the field and continued his work as an officer. Now, after being wounded by an explosive device during operational activity, he is being treated again in hospital and his condition is defined as serious.
IDF officer seriously wounded by explosive device in Jenin
As a reminder, a serious security incident took place today during operational activity by our forces in the Jenin area, which belongs to the Menashe Brigade sector. During the fighting in the area, an explosive device was activated against the forces operating there. As a result of the explosion, an IDF officer was seriously wounded and a reservist was lightly wounded.
The fighters who were wounded received initial treatment in the field and were later evacuated for medical treatment in hospital. The IDF said that the families of the two had been updated on the details of the incident.
A chapter of Psalms for the recovery of the soldiers
Chapter 1 A Happy is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor stood in the path of sinners, nor sat in the seat of scoffers. B Rather, his desire is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. C He will be like a tree planted by streams of water, that yields its fruit in its season, and whose leaf does not wither, and whatever he does prospers. D Not so the wicked, but like chaff that the wind drives away. E Therefore the wicked will not stand in judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. F For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
