IDF Officer Seriously Wounded by Bomb Blast in Jenin, Another Wounded Lightly
An IDF officer was seriously wounded and another IDF noncommissioned officer was lightly wounded today (Thursday) in a bomb explosion in the Ein Jenin area. They were evacuated for medical treatment at a hospital, and their families were notified.
The incident took place during a preparatory patrol by an IDF force in the Jenin refugee camp, ahead of the establishment of a permanent post inside the camp. During the patrol, the force identified a suspicious object, but it is not yet possible to determine what caused the explosion.
Security forces are operating at the scene to investigate the incident and to rule out the presence of additional explosive devices in the area.
