Israeli Authorities Charge Four Bedouin Men for Planned Terror Attacks in Beersheba
The Southern District Prosecutor's Office has filed indictments against four Bedouin men from the Negev who allegedly conspired to carry out terrorist attacks in Beersheba. The suspects planned to fire at the local police station, execute an attack at the Beersheba central bus station, and establish a terror infrastructure targeting Israeli security forces. The four residents of the town of Segev Shalom were arrested in May and June 2026 during a joint operation by the Border Police's Southern Unit and the Shin Bet. Investigations revealed that one suspect initially posted content on social media inciting and supporting terrorism, which later evolved into active planning of attacks. The indictment, submitted to the Beersheba District Court, notes that some of the suspects began their activities as minors. Israeli security agencies prevented the planned attacks before any steps toward execution could be taken.
