Israeli Border Police Officer Throws Stun Grenade Into Palestinian Car in Qalandiya Refugee Camp
An Israeli Border Police officer was filmed on Sunday night throwing a stun grenade into a Palestinian vehicle in the Qalandiya refugee camp north of Jerusalem. The car contained several people at the time, but no injuries have been reported. The unusual incident occurred during a police operation in the area.
Video footage shows the officer arguing with the car's driver before throwing the grenade inside. After the grenade detonated, the driver attempted to exit the vehicle, but the officer blocked the door to prevent escape. Meanwhile, other passengers exited from the opposite side, prompting the officer to approach them with his rifle aimed. The passengers then moved to hide behind the car's trunk, and the officer rejoined his unit.
The Israeli police have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
