Israeli Border Police Throw Stun Grenade Into Vehicle in Qalandiya Refugee Camp Incident

On July 5, Israeli Border Police operated in the Qalandiya refugee camp near Jerusalem. Following the operation, Palestinians released a rare video showing a Border Police officer throwing a stun grenade into a vehicle occupied by Palestinian passengers. The footage reveals a verbal exchange escalating into a confrontation between the officer and the vehicle's Palestinian driver. The officer then opened and tossed the stun grenade inside the car and physically blocked the driver from exiting before the grenade detonated. Other passengers managed to escape from the opposite side of the vehicle.

In a separate incident in the same refugee camp, a 16-year-old Palestinian boy named Walid Abu Shayna was killed in a shooting. His funeral took place amid heightened tensions in Qalandiya. The events highlight ongoing clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinians in the area.
