IDF and Shin Bet Kill Hamas Terrorist Behind Captain Daniel Peretz Kidnapping in Gaza
In a joint operation in northern Gaza Strip, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet eliminated Muhammad Naeem Jandia, the military security chief of Hamas's Shuja'iyya Brigade. Jandia was a prominent terrorist involved in multiple attacks against Israel, including the October 7 massacre where he led a special forces unit that raided Kibbutz Nahal Oz and directly participated in the kidnapping of Captain Daniel Peretz, who was later killed.
Jandia also held captive three other hostages, Yotam Haim, Samer Al-Talalka, and Alon Shmoriz, under his supervision inside an underground tunnel in the Shuja'iyya Brigade area. Despite ongoing military operations, he continued to orchestrate terror activities against Israeli security forces in the Gaza Strip.
The IDF spokesperson stated that Southern Command forces remain deployed according to the current agreement and will persist in their efforts to neutralize immediate threats to Israel's security. This targeted killing marks a significant blow to Hamas's operational capabilities in the region.
