Israeli Forces Kill Terrorist Involved in Kidnapping and Murder of Rabbi Doron Peretz’s Son
Rabbi Doron Peretz, father of Captain Daniel Peretz who was kidnapped and murdered during the October 7 attack, responded to the killing of the terrorist involved in his son's abduction. He emphasized the significance of the operation occurring on the 1000th day since the war began, stating that those responsible for kidnapping, murder, and holding innocent hostages are now being held accountable.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet carried out a precise strike in northern Gaza, killing Mohammad Naeem Jandia, the military security chief of Hamas’s Shuja’iyya Brigade. Jandia was responsible for holding three Israeli hostages, Yotam Haim, Samer Al-Talalka, and Alon Shmoriz, in an underground tunnel. He played a central role in Hamas’s terror activities and led the special unit that raided Kibbutz Nahal Oz on October 7, during which Captain Peretz was abducted.
Throughout the conflict, Jandia continued to orchestrate attacks against Israeli forces and attempted to plan further terrorist operations. Rabbi Peretz expressed deep gratitude to the security forces for their ongoing efforts to protect Israeli citizens, rescue hostages, and bring terrorists to justice. He highlighted the profound importance of Israel’s ability to defend its people and uphold justice.
Notably, the three hostages managed a heroic self-rescue, leaving identifying marks and calling for help, but tragically were mistakenly killed by Israeli forces who misidentified them as terrorists. President Isaac Herzog honored their bravery by awarding their families special certificates in a ceremony at the President’s Residence.
