IDF Kills Terror Commander Involved in October 7 Kidnappings in Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted an airstrike in southern Gaza earlier this week, killing Ahmad Hassin Muhammad Kafina, the commander of the Central Camps sector of the terrorist group Kataeb al-Mujahedin. Kafina orchestrated and led the October 7 attack into Israeli territory, including the abductions of Avitan Or and Noa Argamani, and directed the kidnapping of Sudisak Rintalak. Throughout the ongoing conflict, he actively planned terror attacks against Israeli civilians and military forces, posing an immediate threat before being eliminated in a precise aerial strike.

Sudisak Rintalak, who worked in agriculture in Israeli border communities since 2017, was murdered on October 7 while visiting a friend near the orchards of Kibbutz Be'eri. His body was abducted to Gaza and held by the Islamic Jihad group. Israeli intelligence confirmed his death on May 16 the following year. Born in Ratnauy, northern Thailand, Rintalak was a dedicated and well-liked worker who came to Israel under a foreign worker program. He left behind his brother Thafon and his parents.

Avitan Or and Noa Argamani were kidnapped by Hamas militants during the October 7 massacre at the Nova festival near Re'im. Or was released from Hamas captivity on October 13, 2025, as part of the third prisoner exchange deal. Argamani was rescued eight months later during Operation Arnon. A widely circulated video of her abduction, showing her being taken on a motorcycle while crying for help, became a symbol of the massacre.

The elimination of Kafina marks a significant blow to the terrorist infrastructure responsible for the October 7 attacks and ongoing threats to Israeli security.
