The Israel Defense Forces said Hezbollah violated the ceasefire again on Wednesday morning, after Givati Reconnaissance Unit troops operating on Ali Tahar Ridge identified two armed Hezbollah operatives who posed a threat to forces in the area. According to the military, the operatives were seen in the security zone while Israeli troops were active nearby.
Immediately after the identification, the Air Force and ground forces struck the two men to remove the threat. The IDF said the attack was carried out in response to an immediate danger to Israeli troops.
In a statement, the IDF said, “The IDF will not allow the terrorist organization Hezbollah to harm the citizens of the State of Israel and IDF forces, and will continue to act to remove immediate threats.”
