The IDF said four Hezbollah operatives crossed the “yellow line” into a security zone on Mount Ali al-Taher and moved toward Israeli forces in a way that posed an immediate threat. According to the military, the men were riding a bulldozer and a motorcycle and were operating under civilian cover.
After the operatives were identified, troops fired warning shots to push them back. When they kept advancing and ignored repeated calls from the forces, the IDF carried out additional fire “to remove the threat.” The army said a hit was observed.
The incident took place a short time ago in the security area on Mount Ali al-Taher, in another case there. The IDF said Hezbollah uses civilian cover to conceal terrorist activity and accused the group of cynically exploiting Lebanese civilians and civilian infrastructure as protection for its operations.
The military said it will not allow Hezbollah to harm Israeli civilians or IDF troops and will continue acting to eliminate immediate threats.
