IDF Fires Warning Shots at Lebanese Force Crossing Security Zone in South Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) identified a Lebanese military unit crossing approximately 150 meters into the security zone in southern Lebanon near Zotar al-Sharqiya, violating existing agreements. In response, the IDF fired warning shots into the air to compel the Lebanese force to withdraw. The Lebanese troops retreated without any injuries reported. The IDF emphasized that the area is not part of the pilot zone and demanded that the Lebanese army adhere strictly to the agreed understandings. The IDF warned that any unauthorized incursions could endanger Lebanese forces operating in the area.
