IDF Reports Lebanese Army Breached Agreed Barriers in South Lebanon Pilot Zone

Hours after the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) completed their withdrawal and began a pilot operation in southern Lebanon, the IDF spokesperson announced on Tuesday that Israeli forces detected a Lebanese army unit with engineering equipment crossing approximately 150 meters into the security zone. The IDF stated that the Lebanese forces breached barriers in the Zotar Al-Sharqiya area, violating prior agreements between the sides. In response, Israeli troops fired warning shots into the air to disperse the Lebanese unit, which then withdrew without casualties. The IDF emphasized that the area entered by the Lebanese army is outside the designated pilot zone and demanded that the Lebanese military adhere to the agreed boundaries. The IDF warned that any uncoordinated incursions could endanger Lebanese forces themselves.
