IDF Fires Warning Shots at Lebanese Army After Security Zone Breach in South Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) responded to claims by the Lebanese army that Israeli forces fired at them near the pilot area in the town of Zotar al-Gharbiya. According to the IDF spokesperson, Israeli forces operating in the security zone in southern Lebanon identified a Lebanese army unit, including engineering equipment, that crossed approximately 150 meters into the security zone and broke through barriers in the Zotar al-Sharqiya area, violating agreements between the sides. The IDF forces fired warning shots into the air, which did not endanger the Lebanese troops, with the intent to push them back. The spokesperson emphasized that the area entered by the Lebanese army is not part of the pilot zone.
