IDF Air Force Strikes Four Suspects Near Security Zone in South Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) recently targeted four suspects who were approaching the security zone in southern Lebanon near the Al-Aqida area. The suspects, traveling in a vehicle, were identified as posing an immediate threat to IDF forces operating in the region. Following the identification, the Israeli Air Force conducted a precise strike to neutralize the threat while avoiding harm to IDF personnel.

The IDF spokesperson emphasized that Israel will not allow the Hezbollah terrorist organization to harm Israeli civilians or soldiers and will continue to act against immediate threats. This incident is part of a series of recent IDF operations targeting Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon.

In related developments, IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir held a situational briefing at the Bofor ridge, affirming Israeli control over key surface and underground areas. He noted that Hezbollah, supported and directed by Iran, has built a decades-long threat but has been weakened and defeated in all encounters with Israeli forces.

Over the past week, IDF units, including the 401st Brigade under the 91st Division, have intensified operations in the security zone, gaining control over the village of Hadatha and seizing over 150 weapons, including RPGs, anti-tank missiles, machine guns, and Kalashnikov rifles. Additionally, the IDF struck three Hezbollah command centers in the Nabatiyeh and Mayfadun areas in response to ongoing attacks on Israeli forces. A multi-dimensional unit also neutralized a Hezbollah launcher targeting IDF troops.

The IDF remains committed to removing all threats to its forces and Israeli civilians while maintaining operational freedom in the southern Lebanon security zone.
