Golani Brigade Concludes 7-Month Lebanon Operation, Destroys 900 Terror Sites

After seven months of operational activity in southern Lebanon, the combat team of the Golani Brigade, under the command of Division 36, is concluding its mission and heading for rest and retraining. The forces recently completed a focused operation to destroy terror infrastructure in the Litani River area, following extended operations in the Beaufort Ridge region.

During their deployment, the soldiers destroyed over 900 terror sites used by Hezbollah. They also located numerous weapons caches containing RPGs, explosives, explosive drones, and Kalashnikov rifles. Some of this activity was documented by the soldiers' body cameras.

Brigade Commander Colonel Ido Kof concluded the operation, stating, "The fighting in these months came at a heavy price, but there is also reward. Look around you: communities living their lives and celebrating holidays, businesses open, and kindergartens continuing their routines." He emphasized that the forces operated with the "Golani spirit" throughout, maintaining humanity and honoring fallen soldiers even when facing the enemy, declaring, "This is why we fought and why we continue to fight."
