Golani Brigade Concludes Seven-Month Operation in Southern Lebanon

The Golani Brigade Combat Team, under the command of the 36th Division, has completed its mission in southern Lebanon after seven months of operations and is now withdrawing for rest and replenishment. During their deployment, soldiers operated in the Beaufort Ridge area and conducted a focused operation to destroy Hezbollah infrastructure along the Litani River.

Israeli forces destroyed over 900 Hezbollah terror infrastructures and located weapons caches containing explosive drones, explosives, and RPG rockets. The operation aimed to disrupt Hezbollah's capabilities and prevent attacks against northern Israel.

Colonel Iyyov Kief, commander of the Golani Brigade, reflected on the mission, stating, "The fighting in these months came at a heavy price, but there is also reward. Look around you: communities living their lives and celebrating holidays, businesses open, and kindergartens continuing their routines. This is what we fought for and continue to fight for."

The withdrawal signifies a shift in military focus, though the broader conflict with Hezbollah continues along the northern border.
