El Al will compensate passengers of flight LY017 to Miami, which was forced to return to Israel shortly after takeoff due to an unspecified technical malfunction. The airline announced that in addition to compensation, passengers can choose between a replacement flight or a full refund for their tickets.
The flight departed from Ben Gurion Airport on Tuesday and had been airborne for several hours before turning back. El Al did not disclose the nature of the fault that necessitated the return.
