Osem-Nestle Recalls Classic Ketchup Bottles Due to Spicy Mix-Up
Osem-Nestle announced on Tuesday a recall of its classic ketchup bottles due to a packaging error where a small portion of the bottles were mistakenly filled with spicy ketchup instead of the regular product. The company emphasized that the product is safe for consumption and the only difference is the taste.
However, because the actual contents do not match the label, Osem-Nestle is initiating a recall of the affected bottles from the market. The recall specifically applies to 750-gram bottles of classic ketchup with barcode 7290000072623, from batch number 62022828. These bottles have an expiration date of July 21, 2027, and were produced between 10:00 PM and 11:59 PM.
Consumers who purchased a bottle from the affected batch are advised to contact the company's consumer service to receive a voucher for a replacement product. The Ashkelon district branch of the Health Ministry's Food Service was informed of the incident.
