Osem Recalls Classic Ketchup Bottles Due to Spicy Ketchup Mix-Up
Osem-Nestle has initiated a voluntary recall of some of its Classic Ketchup bottles due to a packaging error. A small number of 750-gram bottles were mistakenly filled with spicy ketchup instead of the classic variety. The recall specifically affects bottles with barcode 7290000072623, batch number 62022828, and an expiration date of July 21, 2027, produced between 10 PM and 11:59 PM.
The company emphasized that the product is safe for consumption, with the only difference being the taste. However, because the contents do not match the label, Osem is removing the affected products from store shelves. Consumers who purchased these specific bottles are encouraged to contact Osem's customer service via phone, website form, or email to receive a voucher for a replacement product.
The Food Service division of the Ministry of Health in the Ashkelon district has been informed of the situation.
