Osem Recalls Popular Ketchup Due to Packaging Error
Osem-Nestlé has issued a significant recall for one of its most popular products, Osem ketchup, urging consumers not to consume it. The company announced Tuesday that a specific batch of its classic 750-gram ketchup bottles (barcode 7290000072623) was mistakenly filled with spicy ketchup.
The affected products are from batch number 62022828, with an expiration date of July 21, 2027, and packed between 10 PM and 11:59 PM. Osem emphasized that the product is safe to consume, with the only difference being the taste. However, due to the discrepancy between the bottle's label and its contents, the company is initiating a market recall of the affected bottles.
Consumers who purchased the product are advised to contact Osem's customer service via phone at 1-700-70-76-76 or through their website to receive a voucher for a replacement product. The company apologized for the error, stating that food quality and safety are top priorities. The Ministry of Health's Food Service in the Ashkelon district has been informed, and Osem is cooperating with the recall process.
