Osem Recalls Ketchup Bottles Due to Packaging Error
Osem-Nestle announced a product recall on Tuesday after a packaging error led to some bottles of classic ketchup being filled with spicy ketchup. The company emphasized that the product is safe for consumption, with the only difference being the taste.
The error occurred in a single batch: batch number 62022828, with an expiration date of July 21, 2027, and production hours between 22:00 and 23:59. These bottles, marked as 'Classic Ketchup' with barcode 7290000072623, actually contain spicy ketchup.
Despite the product's safety, Osem decided to recall the affected bottles because the contents do not match the label. The Ashkelon district of the Health Ministry's Food Service has been informed.
Consumers who purchased the affected product are encouraged to contact Osem's consumer service via phone, website, or email to receive a voucher for a replacement product. Osem apologized for the inconvenience and reiterated its commitment to food quality and safety.
