Popular Ketchup Brand Recalls Products Due to Spicy Mix-Up
Osem-Nestlé is initiating a voluntary recall of specific batches of its 750-gram Classic Ketchup bottles. The recall is due to a packaging error where a small quantity of spicy ketchup was mistakenly filled into bottles labeled as classic.
The affected products have barcode 7290000072623, belong to batch 62022828, and have a "best by" date of July 21, 2027. The production times for the affected bottles were between 10:00 PM and 11:59 PM.
Osem-Nestlé emphasized that the ketchup is safe for consumption, with the only difference being the taste. However, because the contents do not match the label, the company is removing the implicated bottles from store shelves.
The company has informed the Ministry of Health's food service in the Ashkelon district about the recall and is coordinating the product retrieval from retailers.
