Bereaved Father Slams Hamas Captive Survivor Over Remarks

Itzik Bonzel, the father of a fallen soldier and a Likud candidate, fiercely criticized Yehedved Lifshitz, a former Hamas hostage, for her recent statements regarding hostage releases. Lifshitz had claimed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not secure any hostage releases and that Miriam Adelson had "bought them from Trump."

In a scathing Facebook post on Monday, Bonzel expressed his outrage, stating, "I wish there was a way to turn back time and return you to Hamas's hands, because seeing this display of ingratitude, it seems you didn't deserve for our dear and holy sons to sacrifice their lives for you." He emphasized that it was not Adelson, but "hundreds of heroes" who risked their lives to rescue Lifshitz from Gaza's tunnels, with some never returning.

Bonzel argued that Israeli soldiers paid with their lives so that Lifshitz could be safe at home. He condemned her words as "pathetic, outrageous, and detached," asserting that her hatred for Netanyahu had caused her to lose her mind, destroy any sense of morality and shame, and trample on the honor of those who rescued her at the cost of their lives. He concluded that silence in the face of such degradation is an unforgivable sin.
