Likud Candidate Slams Hamas Captive Survivor Yocheved Lifshitz

Likud party candidate Itzik Bonzel posted on Facebook Monday, attacking Hamas captive survivor Yocheved Lifshitz and stating, "I wish there was a way to return you to Hamas's hands." Bonzel's remarks came after Lifshitz said earlier this week that Miriam Adelson, not Prime Minister Netanyahu, was responsible for the return of hostages.

Bonzel, whose son was killed in the war, argued that Lifshitz's rescue from Gaza's tunnels was not due to Adelson, but rather "hundreds of heroes who went into the inferno to bring you back alive, some of whom never returned." He added, "Our sons paid with their lives and the blood of every home in Israel so that you could sit safely in your home."

"How pathetic, infuriating, and detached are your words," Bonzel continued. "In the face of these disgraceful statements, and the unbearable pain of losing the sons who fell for you, the rage simply knows no bounds."
