Two Dead in Holiday Traffic Accidents, Including Cyclist

Two people were killed in separate traffic accidents over the holiday weekend in Israel. The first fatality occurred on Friday evening on Route 90 near the settlement of Masu'ot in the Jordan Valley. A 60-year-old man from Nazareth, identified as Abdallah Zuabi, was found deceased in a roadside ditch following a severe collision involving four vehicles. Five other individuals sustained injuries, ranging from serious to mild, and were evacuated to hospitals. IDF helicopters assisted in the evacuation, and police have launched an investigation into the crash's circumstances.

Later that night, a 40-year-old cyclist was killed when he was struck by a vehicle on Route 98 near the Magshimim junction in the Golan Heights. Emergency services arrived to find the cyclist unresponsive, and despite resuscitation efforts by bystanders and medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle that hit the cyclist sustained minor injuries.

In addition to these fatalities, two other serious traffic incidents were reported. A 50-year-old pedestrian was critically injured by a vehicle in Kiryat Ata and taken to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa. Shortly after, a 20-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a fall in Acre and was transported to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya.
