Fatal Crash on Route 90 Kills One, Injures Five

A multi-vehicle collision on Route 90 in the Jordan Valley on Friday evening resulted in the death of Abdullah Ibrahim Zaabi, 60, from Nazareth, and serious injuries to five others. The crash involved four vehicles, according to emergency services.

Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) pronounced Zaabi dead at the scene after finding him unresponsive with no pulse or breathing. He sustained severe, multiple injuries. MDA reported receiving the initial call at 6:43 PM.

Among the injured were two men, aged approximately 60 and 40, who sustained critical injuries, including head and abdominal trauma. They were evacuated by MDA helicopter to a hospital. Another man, around 30 years old, suffered moderate abdominal injuries and was airlifted by an Israeli military helicopter. Two additional individuals sustained minor injuries and were transported by MDA ambulances.

MDA paramedics described the scene as a very serious accident, noting significant damage to all vehicles. One car had veered off the road into a ditch, where Zaabi was found. Another vehicle was overturned.

The Israeli Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the crash. Route 90 was closed in both directions following the incident, and accident investigators were present at the scene.
