Fatal Road Accident on Route 90 Claims One Life, Injures Five

A multi-vehicle collision on Route 90 in the Jordan Valley on Friday evening resulted in the death of Abdullah Ibrahim Zaabi, 60, from Nazareth, and injuries to five others. The accident involved four vehicles, causing significant damage to all.

Emergency services, including Magen David Adom and an Israeli military medical team, responded to the scene. Paramedics pronounced Zaabi dead after finding him unresponsive with no pulse or breathing inside one of the vehicles. He sustained multiple severe injuries.

Among the injured were two men, aged approximately 60 and 40, who suffered serious head and abdominal injuries and were airlifted to hospital by Magen David Adom and Israeli military helicopters, respectively. A 30-year-old man sustained moderate abdominal injuries and was also airlifted. Two other individuals had minor injuries and were transported by ambulance.

Israeli police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the crash. Route 90 was closed in both directions following the incident as investigators worked to determine the cause. The accident occurred as rescue and police forces were already engaged in ongoing operations in the area.
