Fatal Holiday Eve Crash Claims One Life on Jordan Valley Highway
A man in his 60s was killed in a severe road accident on Highway 90 near the settlement of Masu'ot in the Jordan Valley on Friday evening, just before the Sabbath began. Emergency services arriving at the scene found the man unconscious in a roadside ditch and pronounced him dead. The crash involved four vehicles, all sustaining significant damage.
In addition to the fatality, five other individuals were injured. A 40-year-old man was critically wounded, another person sustained moderate injuries, and two others had minor injuries. They were evacuated by medical teams, including a MDA helicopter and IDF medical personnel, to local hospitals for treatment.
Firefighters from the Shomron region worked to extract the deceased from his private vehicle, describing the rescue as complex and time-consuming due to the severity of the collision. The Israel Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
