Fatal Crash on Route 90 Claims One Life, Injures Five

A man in his 60s was killed and five others were injured in a severe four-vehicle collision on Route 90 in the Jordan Valley on Friday evening, just before the holiday.

Paramedics and EMTs from Magen David Adom (MDA) responded to the scene, where they treated and evacuated the injured. Two men, aged approximately 60 and 40, sustained serious injuries and were airlifted by helicopter. Another man, around 30 years old, suffered moderate injuries and was also evacuated by helicopter. Two additional individuals with minor injuries were transported by ambulance.

MDA paramedic Orit Ohana and senior EMTs Matti Carmi and Aviad Amar described the scene as a "very severe road accident." They reported that all four vehicles sustained significant damage. The deceased, a man in his 60s, was found unresponsive inside a vehicle that had veered off the road into a ditch.

"One of the vehicles was overturned, and inside it was a man around 40 years old in serious, confused condition, with injuries to his abdomen and limbs," the medics stated. The seriously injured 30-year-old man was conscious and had abdominal injuries. Medical teams, in cooperation with IDF medical forces, provided initial treatment before evacuating the patients to hospitals.
