Five Injured in Serious Three-Vehicle Crash in Jordan Valley

A severe traffic accident involving three vehicles occurred on Thursday on Road 508 near Hamra in the Jordan Valley, resulting in five injuries. Four victims were critically injured, and one sustained moderate injuries. Emergency medical teams provided on-site treatment before airlifting the injured by two helicopters to hospitals. Two 17-year-old females in critical condition were flown to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital by Magen David Adom's air rescue. Three others, including a 25-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl in critical condition, and a 30-year-old man in moderate condition, were transported to Beilinson Hospital with assistance from IDF medical forces.

Firefighters from the Shomron Regional Station responded simultaneously to two emergency points at the scene near the Makhura settlement. One vehicle had overturned trapping its female driver, while another caught fire after veering off the road. Fire crews rescued the trapped driver and extinguished the blaze, preventing it from spreading to nearby open areas. Battalion Commander Tomer Bechar described the scene as complex due to the involvement of three vehicles, highlighting the successful rescue and fire suppression efforts. Overall, five casualties were evacuated, four in serious condition and one moderately injured.
