Six Injured in Severe Multi-Vehicle Crash Near Sea of Galilee, Two Critically Airlifted
A serious multi-vehicle collision occurred on Monday morning at 10:30 near the Sea of Galilee, close to the moshav Ramot on Highway 92. The crash involved three vehicles colliding with great force, causing extensive damage and one car to be thrown into a roadside ditch. Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived to a chaotic scene with victims and bystanders calling for help.
Six people were injured in total, including two young adults in critical condition. A 20-year-old woman was found unconscious on the asphalt with severe head and limb injuries, requiring immediate advanced life-saving treatment including intubation and ventilation. Another 20-year-old man was conscious but suffered serious multi-system trauma to his abdomen. Both were urgently airlifted by MDA's rescue helicopter to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa.
Additional casualties included a 17-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy with moderate multi-system injuries, who were transported by ambulance to Poriya Medical Center in Tiberias. Two others with minor injuries were also taken to Poriya for further evaluation. The IDF medical unit assisted MDA teams on site during the critical evacuation.
Police closed the highway section to investigate the accident's cause. Paramedics described the scene as chaotic, with one vehicle in the ditch and victims in distress. The swift response by emergency services was crucial in stabilizing the critically injured and managing the complex accident scene.
