Ten Injured in Six-Vehicle Crash Near Kiryat Gat, Two Children Critically Hurt
Ten people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision involving six cars on Highway 6 near the Kiryat Gat interchange on Friday. Among the injured were a three-year-old girl and a five-year-old boy, both in critical condition. The girl was evacuated unconscious by Magen David Adom (MDA) with a head injury, while the boy was also evacuated with impaired consciousness and a head injury. Two men in their 30s were hospitalized in moderate condition with various injuries. A medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene.
Paramedics from United Hatzalah, including Deputy Head of the Kiryat Gat branch Yanki Weinberg and medics Gershon Hukkat and Daniel Tirnober, reported providing emergency care including resuscitation efforts for the three-year-old girl, who was described as unstable and was airlifted from the site. In addition to the two critically injured children and two moderately injured men (aged 30 and 43), six other victims sustained minor injuries and were transported to hospitals for further treatment.
