Two Dead in Separate Road Accidents in Northern Israel
Two individuals died and at least five others were injured in separate road accidents across northern Israel on Friday and Saturday. On Saturday morning, a cyclist, approximately 40 years old, was killed when a vehicle struck him on Route 98 near the Magshimim junction. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene after finding him unconscious with no pulse or breathing. The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries, and police have launched an investigation.
On Friday evening, a man around 60 years old died and four others were injured in a multi-vehicle collision involving four cars on Route 90. Two of the injured were taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital with serious conditions. Police temporarily closed Route 90 in both directions following the crash before reopening it later.
In a third incident, a motorcyclist in his twenties suffered serious injuries in an accident near Hurfeish on Saturday. Emergency services responded to the scene.
